MOHRE
The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation — the federal body that regulates employment in the UAE, including domestic work.
MOHRE licenses Tadbeer centres, publishes the standard domestic worker contract, and operates the complaints channel for both employers and workers.
For a household, MOHRE matters at three moments: when the contract is signed, if wages are disputed, and if either side wants to end the arrangement early. It is also where you verify that a centre's licence is genuine.
Why it matters
Both you and the person you employ can raise a complaint with MOHRE directly. Knowing that before there is a dispute tends to prevent one.
